Students will:
- Evaluate the significance of family and its impact on the well-being of individuals and society.
- Evaluate the impact of parenting roles and responsibilities on strengthening the well being of individuals and families.
- Achieve an understanding of children’s emotional, physical, social moral, and intellectual development.
- Evaluate management practices related to the human, economic, and environmental resources.
- Analyze factors that impact human growth and development.
- Demonstrate nutrition wellness practices that enhance individual and family well being.
- Demonstrate knowledge and basic skills needed for food preparation and dietary choices.
- Demonstrate knowledge and basic skills needed to make informed consumer decisions regarding housing, interiors and furnishings.
- Demonstrate knowledge and basic skills needed to make informed consumer decisions regarding textiles and apparel.
- Demonstrate proper use of equipment and skills in clothing construction.
- Integrate multiple life roles and responsibilities in family, work, and community settings and will demonstrate respect and caring relations in the family, workplace and community.
- Use technological tools and resources in baby care, nutrition and interior design.
