TITAN WRESTLING REPORT
February, 2008
Congratulations to senior Luke Gaia. Luke finished in 4th Place in the Missouri State Wrestling Tournament in the 130# class. This is Trinity's first state finisher in wrestling. It is Luke's second trip to State as he qualified as a sophomore. He finished the regular season 15-1. His only loss came to top ranked Esmond Ford of Affton.
Overall Trinity had a great season. After winning the Affton Invitational, we went on to win the Black Pool of the Ritenour Invitational. We were poised to win the Brentwood Tournament, but snow forced a cancellation. We finished our dual meet schedule with 6 wins and 3 losses. Senior Tim Boevingloh finished his last season as a Titan 23-0. Tim wrestled some of the top 145 pound wrestlers in Class 2A during the District Tournament. His bid for a state spot fell short on Saturday. Other wrestlers who did very well are sophomores Garrett Beckham, Vince Gaia, Pat Santel, and Dan Gerhart. These underclassmen will lead the way for the next two years of Trinity Catholic High School wrestling.
December 3, 2007
